Kris Maynard, LCSW

Founder, Therapist

Kris' passion is seeing people find their own potential and realize they are the masters of their own change, healing, and happiness. She practices from a belief that often people become stuck in overwhelming problems with their past; current life stressors; or fears of the future and change. Her goal is to help clients move forward and be able to have new skills to take with them so they can apply it as needed as they move on with their lives. Kris is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker; an EMDR Certified therapist; a Level 1 Certified IFS therapist; and is currently working on becoming an EMDR Approved Consultant. She tends to use EMDR; CBT; IFS (Internal Family Systems); the practice of mindfulness; and theories from complex trauma, attachment, and grief most often in her practice. Kris has been working with first responders including law enforcement, fire services, EMT's, hospital personnel, dispatchers, military veterans and their families for nearly her entire career. She also specializes in acute traumatic events such as loss; acts of violence; accidents; acts of nature; and chronic PTSD.

Most of Kris' clients seek her out for help with relationship issues; mood and anxiety problems; current and past trauma; PTSD; and general unhappiness. In her free time, Kris enjoys meditation and spending time with her family, friends, and 3 dogs.
