Adolescents, Couples & Families

How We Can Help

Adolescents

Our therapists have a combined total of over 35 years of experience working with adolescents and their families on a vast array of issues and in various settings.

Our therapists have worked with adolescents and their families on concerns of mood disturbance, self-harm, suicidal ideation, violence, bullying, peer group conflicts, sexual abuse, alcohol and drug use, dating concerns, and identity and sexual orientation. We work from a collaborative approach with the families and schools when appropriate.

Couples & Families

Our goals for couples and family therapy are to strengthen the pillars of a healthy relationship. The three pillars we focus on are respect, communication, and trust. In couples or family therapy, the couple or family relationship becomes the client, not just one individual in that relationship.

We believe that even though in some situations, the struggles of one person in the relationship can cause a ripple effect through the couple or family system, there can be healing and strengthening through cohesion and communication. We strive to work towards bringing all parties together to have the relationship you are striving for by facilitating cohesion, communication, and boundaries. We work to not take a side but instead to focus on how to meet the relationship(s) goals you identify in the initial sessions.

OUR GOAL

We strive to help you move forward and learn new skills to take with you to apply as needed as you move on with your life.
